BLACK TEXT – Younger MAN
RED TEXT – OLDER WOMAN
Intro (0-15)
What will it take to make you stay (16-22)
I’ll take the moon and the stars (23-27) down from the sky (28-32)
Hold them in my hand, (33-35) my gift to you (37-40) (MUSIC 41-43)
What can I say (44-46) to make you stay (47-51)
Even just until tomorrow,(52-56) give me one last day (57-59)
With you please (1-1.04)
You’ve always known that this moment (1.05-1.10) had to be (1.11-1.13)
That you could never stay forever here with me (1.14-1.19)
MUSIC (1.20-1.22)
I should have known better (1.23-1.27) from the start (1.28-1.30)
Never let the red hot flames (1.31-1.34) of passion (1.35-1.36) over-rule my heart (1.37-1.40)
Flattered by the attentions (1.41-1.43), the beauty of a man (1.43-1.46) far too young for me (1.47-1.55)
I should always have known (1.56-2.00)
Love is the rebel child that lives by its own rules (2.01-2.10)
Passion and love are two lost souls inter-twined (2.11-2.17) MUSIC (2.18)
It’s true that I felt young again when (2.19-2.25) you held me in your arms (2.26-2.32)
But love is an illusion for the young, (2.33-2.44) only a delusion for older fools (2.45-2.54)
Then stay forever young with me, (2.56-3.00) bringing colour (3.01-3.03) to my life (3.04-3.05)
Without you,(3.06-3.08) only for me a life in shades of grey (3.09-3.11) if you walk away (3.12-13)
When you grow older (3.14-16) and then maybe wiser (3.17-18) you will then begin (3.189-23) to truly understand (3.24 -3.33)
MUSIC (3.33-3.38)
Love and passion are not the same (3.39-3.46), not two sisters with one name (3.47-3.55)
Love has many names (3.56-4.01) and duty is one of those names too (4.02-4.04)
Promises I made to another (4.05-4.07) long before (4.08-4.09) I ever imagined that I could (pause then continue) have met you (4.10-4.12)
MUSIC (4.12-4.16)
There’s no good reason why, (4.16-4.20) MUSIC (4.21-4.23) you have to return to your old life (4.24-4.32)
With me only words of love in your life (4.33-4.40)
Not the words of misguided illusions, (4.41-4.49) the burden of some loveless sense of duty to care (4.50-5.00)
That is taking your life nowhere. (5.01-5.05)
Please let me walk away today (5.06—5.10) with beautiful memories of our love affair (5.11-13)
Don’t let my tears be, (5.14-5.19) the last things that you remember of me (5.20-5.26)
Goodbye my love (5.25-27)
Goodbye my love (5.28-5.30)
Goodbye my love (5.31 to 5.33)

NOTE -Often, when I hear words, I hear music to them, and when I hear just music, often words and stories form in my mind. From this, the idea of a musical story based on some of my favourite pieces of classical music started to form. In this story, an older and married woman has an unexpected romance with a much younger man whom she falls completely in love with (as does he with her). They are forced to part in this story, but after writing it, I realised that it was an event that came before another story -"I Still Love You So (But You've Always Known That)"
